Truly Local Credit Union Branch Design

PenFinancial Credit Union’s new and state-of-the-art flagship branch officially opened in St. Catharines on July 5, 2018. The 5,000-square foot facility serves as the new main St. Catharines site for the Niagara-based credit union. The facility was constructed using local contractors and suppliers, in keeping with PenFinancial's Truly Local Commitment philosophy. St. Catharines-based Quartek Group was the project architect, engineer and interior designer. The building design and materials are inspired by the surrounding Niagara farmland, from which PenFinancial’s membership first grew. In the interior of the branch, there is greenhouse style reception area and a 'courtyard' style member waiting area that invites the outside in and a spectacular ""Truly Local Commitment Community Room"" which is the focus of the branch design, with floor to ceiling windows that overlook Fourth Avenue. The new TLC community room was designed with the purpose of providing service clubs, community groups, organizations and not-for profits from across Niagara, with a beautiful space in which to communicate, collaborate and create. PenFi's new Fourth Avenue branch is located in the busy hub of West St. Catharines and is a truly local beacon that celebrates all that is truly meaningful to the residents and businesses of Niagara.
