The theme of Vision’s 2018 annual report is “Cultivating Community.” It reflects the agricultural roots in communities where Vision operates as well as the credit union model of investing locally and being community focused. As such, it echoes Vision’s mission to improve the lives of the people they serve and to invest in the well-being of their communities. Photos of Vision’s communities were the inspiration for the creative direction of this annual report. These images, featured throughout the report, were submitted through Vision’s Facebook photo contest — one of the other ways Vision cultivated community in 2018. Their Facebook page directed almost 25,000 visitors to Vision web properties and their follows grew to 447 (from none!). Using clean, spare design, concise copy and Vision’s new brand standard colours and font, they wove the thread of Cultivating Community throughout the first section of Vision’s annual report, closing it with photos about Vision’s community involvement over 2018.
