Shared Stories: Harold Chapman

Affinity’s key differentiation lies in the fact of being a credit union. Unfortunately, as the years have gone by, the differences in the credit union business model have not been passed along. The primary motivation for the project was to engage Affinity's employees as brand ambassadors, providing the ability to articulate the credit union difference. It was felt storytelling would be the most effective tool rather than providing a list of values or words to memorize and repeat verbatim. It was recognized video would be an effective method of delivery, giving the Affinity story a voice, allowing for it to be told in an authentic, easy-to-recall manner. Harold Chapman's story was selected for the initial story as he has been a leader in the co-operative movement for over 70 years and has dedicated his life to educating others on the co-operative model. The story is timeless and can be utilized by to celebrate the foundation of the credit union movement for generations to come.
