In a night that can only be described as once in a lifetime, Atlantic credit unions, in partnership with the Nova Scotia Co-op Council, were proud to welcome President Barack Obama to Halifax. The sold-out event welcomed over 8,000 attendees—approximately 3,000 of which were credit union members, not to mention hundreds of youth who were given a unique opportunity to hear President Obama speak. To mark the significance of credit unions’ presenting sponsorship, we deployed numerous tactics and initiatives in the Atlantic Canadian market with a goal to bolster brand awareness, inspire potential members to learn more about what it means to bank with a credit union, and instill pride in current members.
